The Department of Microbiology is multidisciplinary consisting of Bacteriology, Virology, Mycology, Immunology, Parasitology units. Teaching is an integral part of the departmental activity & training is imparted to the students using the diagnostic laboratories & the facilities. Well equipped student laboratories available helps to train undergraduate students in the field of microbiology stressing on clinical orientation. Department also contains charts, mounted specimens and models of microorganisms for the benefit of students. We provide best training in the field.
The department is equipped with more than adequate infrastructure. The laboratory is endowed with facilities that cater to the needs of the UG students in the Paramedical field. We develop various teaching programs in basic, clinical and practical Biochemistry, keeping in view the rapidly changing global scenario, with reference to basic medical sciences in general, and Biochemistry in particular.
